Our Classes

  • Flexibility & Mobility

Flexibility and mobility are skills to be cultivated and can vastly improve the quality of your life. Beyond preventing injuries and facilitating the ease of daily tasks, maintaining good mobility can also contribute to preserving your independence as you age. Research has shown improved flexibility and mobility increase range of motion, which as a result lengthening your muscles, tendons and connective tissues can enhance your athletic performance and make it easier to move in your day-to-day life. Being adequately flexible for not only athletes, but the general population as well, is an increase neuromuscular coordination or how well the nervous system can recruit muscles to perform specific movements.

  • Tae Tek

Tae Tek was created by the Shihan Sandro Segnini and the classes seamlessly integrate martial arts and boxing punches with energetic aerobic movements, all set to contagious and explosive music. This unique fusion not only provides a dynamic and engaging workout but also offers a plethora of benefits for overall well-being. The high-intensity nature of Tae Tek classes makes them an excellent avenue for weight loss, as participants engage in vigorous physical activity that torches calories and promotes fat burning. Beyond the scale, these classes contribute significantly to enhancing agility, elevating muscular strength, and boosting endurance. The combination of martial arts and boxing elements sharpens reflexes, thereby improving balance and coordination. Moreover, Tae Tek exercises emphasize a wide range of motions, leading to increased flexibility. The rhythmic and coordinated nature of the routines also stimulates memory and enhances cognitive coordination. In essence, Tae Tek emerges not only as a powerful fitness regimen but also as a holistic approach to physical and mental well-being, delivering benefits that extend far beyond the confines of the workout session.

  • Zumba

Soul Lab’s Zumba, a blend of fitness and music, welcomes all ages and skill levels. Accessible to a diverse audience focused on self-care, wellness, and self-expression, it fosters a non- competitive and non-judgmental atmosphere, promoting self-acceptance. Enjoyed by both newcomers and athletes, Zumba aids mental wellness with its increasing difficulty levels, catering to those restarting exercise. Crucial for mobility, Zumba targets abdomen and lower back muscles, promoting core activation and hip movement through primal exercises like squats and lunges. Special attention to neck and shoulder flexibility addresses issues like osteoporosis. Emphasizing safety with proper knee and feet alignment, Zumba engages the core, legs, and arms for a holistic workout. Instructors prioritize joy, creating a feel-good atmosphere, making Zumba a happy place for all. Classes end with cool down to ease participants back into reality and reduce joint stress.

  • Yin Yoga

Yin yoga specifically targets the deep connective tissues in your body, such as fascia, ligaments, and joints. This practice distinguishes itself with a slower, more meditative approach, providing the opportunity to turn inward and attune to both the mind and physical sensations. The prolonged holding of poses, characteristic of Yin yoga, allows for the stretching and lengthening of rarely used tissues. Additionally, it teaches the valuable skill of breathing through discomfort and sitting with one's thoughts. While not a high- intensity, sweaty vinyasa flow, Yin yoga is a powerful workout with numerous physical and mental health benefits. Embrace it to enhance flexibility, improve range of motion, and alleviate stress, anxiety, and sleep disturbances. Next time you find yourself in an exercise rut, give Yin yoga a try and experience its transformative effects firsthand.

  • Yin Yang Yoga

Yin Yang Yoga interconnects the essences of two yoga modalities, harmonizing the tranquil stillness of prolonged pose-holding with the exhilarating dynamism of flowing sequences and upright stances. Rooted in Taoist principles, Yin and Yang embody contrasting yet complementary forces within all existence. Yin embodies introspection, serenity, coolness, and grounding, while Yang exudes vitality, movement, warmth, and ascent.
When transposed into the realm of yoga, Yin Yoga embodies a contemplative pace where postures linger for extended periods, nurturing the profound Yin aspects of connective tissues and joints. Conversely, Yang Yoga signifies a more kinetic engagement, targeting the Yang facets of muscles and circulation, fostering vigor, resilience, and suppleness. Yang- infused yoga styles, such as the rhythmic and iterative Vinyasa Flow, epitomize this spirited dynamism.
Crafting a holistic yoga routine necessitates the integration of both Yin and Yang essences. One might consider incorporating one or two sessions of Yin or Restorative yoga alongside vigorous practices throughout the week. Alternatively, explore a fusion of Yin and Yang within a single class, cultivating a unified equilibrium within the practice.
